Ecological and Energetic Transition For Industry Sustainability

The project intends to promote the decarbonisation of production processes and the transition to more sustainable models, increasing company competitiveness and simultaneously promoting environmental, energy, economic and social sustainability. TEESI is structured through two areas of action: improvement of production processes in terms of energy efficiency and transition to renewable sources; enhancement of business models through waste prevention and valorisation of industrial waste. The innovativeness of the proposal concerns overcoming the aspects that limit the dissemination of practices and applications in these areas (lack of quantitative information on consumption and the necessary skills). For this reason, the project focuses on: quantifying the resources and energy associated with products and processes and their environmental, economic and social impacts; developing methodological steps and tools for an ongoing improvement process within the companies involved.

  • Provision of services and infrastructure
    TEESI will make use of BI-REX services and infrastructures with regard to: support to companies for the contracting and activation of research grants in collaboration with the University of Bologna; administrative reporting of the project; organisation of webinars, of a final project event and realisation of a promotional video, in relation to communication and dissemination activities on project potential and results.
  • Sharing, use, dissemination of product material and know-how
    At the end of the project, all the contents/materials produced and the methodologies and solutions adopted will be used by BI-REX with a view to disseminating know-how. This aspect will concern both training activities and the provision of technological support services to companies: BI-REX will be able to bring its own expertise, with the aim of facilitating the replication of the results obtained in other companies and contexts.
