SEDAN

Evolved System for Digitization, Automation and Notarization of Logistic Document Flows

The growing pressure on the logistics system as a whole has exasperated the need to maximise the efficiency of processes: this need has often found an answer in technological solutions which, while on the one hand have made it possible to improve isolated individual processes, on the other hand have brought to the surface new criticalities at the interface points between one operator/system and another, which are often penalised by manual procedures and document flows that are still paper-based. In this context, SEDAN was created with the intention of increasing the visibility of the logistics chain and optimising its information flows, through a process of dematerialisation: specifically, the project aims to make the exchange of data between the parties involved more secure and efficient, through the legal digitisation of some critical document flows (notarisation) and the creation of an integrated platform for sharing and exchanging documents between the various operators. The solution will focus on some processes related to the Lugo terminal’s operations, but it will be designed to ensure scalability and transferability to different contexts within the supply chain.

  • Provision of BI-REX services and infrastructure
The project will make use of the communication and training services offered by BI-REX, in particular: elaboration and co-production of information “pills” (short 3-4 minute videos on the project context and results); support in the organisation and promotion of webinars to illustrate the project results.
  • Sharing, use, dissemination of product material and know-how
Sharing the vision and values underpinning BI-REX, all content/materials produced will be made available to its consortium members, with a view to dissemination and diffusion of know-how.
