Platform for unalterably linking physical objects, products and services to their digital representations on blockchain

The project aims to build a ‘general purpose’ platform to be offered as a service to enterprises in every sphere of the economic ecosystem to connect physical objects, products and services to their digital representations on blockchain in an unalterable way. On the general purpose platform, a number of pilot companies will be invited to build verticalised platforms for specific supply chains, to be offered to other economic actors, starting with their customers and suppliers of products, services, components, semi-finished products and raw materials, to be interfaced with logistics and distribution networks. The availability of a blockchain-based data sharing system would allow companies to develop their own solutions or rely on those of other players to create and extract value from data hitherto confined to the production process. It is envisaged to create verticalised platforms for the use cases brought by the partners, which concern: management of self-driving vehicles; management of robot fleets; classification of professional skills; management and classification of contractual obligations.

  • Provision of services, Pilot Line and infrastructure
The project will make use of BI-REX infrastructures, technologies and services. These relate to: the General Contractor service, which envisages the involvement of research organisations and subcontractors of consulting services; the Location service, through which BI-REX will make its structure available for the organisation of workshops and training seminars; use of the Pilot Line where new implementations of the platform will be tested, also with a view to Big Data Management and Data Valuing.
  • Sharing, use, dissemination of product material and know-how
All the contents/materials produced (feasibility study, training modules, etc.) and the methodologies adopted will be used by BI-REX in order to disseminate and disseminate know-how and results obtained: in this regard, workshops and seminars are planned to be held with a view to Open Innovation.
