ARPMAT
Augmented Reality Predictive Maintenance Tool
With reference to after sales, emerging technologies are changing customers’ expectations for service: the ARPMAT project aims to apply the potential of IoT to predictive maintenance, to proactively solve service problems before they require costly field interventions cause downtime. In this regard, one way forward is the integration into machines of specific sensor technology for the detection of “field data” (productivity of each machine/process, quality monitoring, prevention of breakdowns, production slowdowns or interruptions, up to energy efficiency control and work safety monitoring) or logos (data matrix or QR Code). Through the integration of these elements, which provide access to specific packages of information, it is possible to: anticipate machinery maintenance to reduce downtime; solve problems remotely to dramatically decrease travel by service personnel; and arrive on site with the parts, tools, expertise and a plan to increase the rate of first-time resolution.
- Provision of services, Pilot Line and infrastructure
The project will make use of the services and infrastructure offered by BI-REX. Specifically, the project will make use of the General Contractor service (enjoyment of training services on the Software Suite that will be acquired, tutoring and coaching for the installation of the Software Suite, signing of the agreement with the University of Bologna). - Sharing, use, dissemination of produced material and know-how
All content/materials produced (which also include guidelines, procedures, and policies) will be shared with BI-REX and used for dissemination and dissemination of know-how. The use of such content, which will be agreed upon with BI-REX, will particularly concern training activities.
