The Ministry for Economic Development and the Emilia Romagna Region have launched new calls aimed at promoting innovation and development of the territory. Two great opportunities for companies that can be supported by our Competence Center.

 

AGREEMENTS FOR INNOVATION 2022 – New procedure

The 2022 Innovation Agreements launched by the MISE and aimed at supporting interventions with a significant technological impact capable of affecting the competitive capacity of companies, change procedure. According to the new legislation, the projects must provide for the implementation of industrial research and experimental development activities, aimed at the creation of new products, processes or services or the significant improvement of existing products, processes or services, through the development of fundamental enabling technologies.

In particular:

  • The projects must include expenses and eligible costs of not less than 5 million Euros and have a duration between 18 and 36 months;
  • The beneficiaries are companies of any size (industrial, artisan, transport and agro-industrial and carrying out ancillary activities) and research centers.

The co-financing of the company is between 5 and 10% based on the size of the company. The benefits are granted in the form of:

  • Direct contribution to expenditure (“non-repayable”): the maximum limit of the aid intensity of the allowable subsidies is equal to 50% of the eligible costs of industrial research and 25% of the eligible costs of experimental development;
  • Soft loan: if required, it can be granted within the limit of 20% of the total eligible costs of the project.

ATTRACTION OF INVESTMENTS IN EMILIA-ROMAGNA: the new Notice of Law 14 has been published

The Emilia-Romagna Region has published the new call for proposals on regional agreements for the establishment and development of businesses which provides for an allocation of over 13 million euros for the two-year period 2023-2024. This is the sixth measure in implementation of Regional Law 14 on the promotion of investments, aimed at companies that want to settle or expand their business in Emilia-Romagna, creating new jobs.

The measure funds investment programs that can cover research infrastructures, research and development projects, training and sustainability and which envisage a positive impact on the competitiveness of the regional economic system and an increase in employment of at least 20 new employees with permanent and full-time contracts (of which at least 30% are graduates).

Applications can be submitted starting from July 2022 and until 12 noon on 14 October.
