The exhibition event, now in its 20th edition, is the largest event dedicated to innovations for the manufacturing industry and promises to be particularly rich in proposals: this year BI-REX will participate again with many initiatives for companies and participants.
BI-REX will be present at the new edition of MECSPE, International Fair for the Manufacturing Industry that will take place in Bologna Fiere from June 9 to 11! Thanks to the partnership with SENAF, BI-REX will play a central role within the Fair, multiplying its presence through a series of initiatives that will cover:
- Participation in various conferences, institutional roundtables, technical speeches and training sessions;
- Sharing together with the other Competence Centers of the demo area “Mecspe Live Academy”, the heart of the Fair, where we will have our workstation and where we will present innovative solutions, Industry 4.0 technologies, virtual and interactive demos!
MECSPE LIVE ACADEMY AREA
In the area that is the main setting of the Fair, located immediately after the West Entrance, we will give companies the opportunity to touch the Industry 4.0 technologies we will bring and make available to participants, illustrating features and potential of part of our Pilot Line, an interconnected digital factory on our premises that integrates Industry 4.0 technologies with traditional ones.
Specific focus on three different areas: Big Data, Additive Manufacturing e Robotics.
Participants will be able to see live how innovation is created through the presence of three different machines:
- A DMG Mori machine tool connected to data analysis software;
- A mobile collaborative robot from partner Alascom;
- A 3D polymer printer from partner Energy Group.
Specifically, we will show: advantages of connecting a machine to collect and process data to perform process optimization and predictive maintenance; pros and cons of additive printing in different manufacturing contexts; usefulness of interaction with a collaborative robot; support of digital and software applications in 4.0 processes, in a unique and integrated path.
DATA CENTER INNOVATION DAY
We will participate on June 7 in the “Data Center Innovation Day” conference, an introductory event to the Fair that will take place in Sala Italia at the Volvo Congress Center di Bologna. The conference will be structured through:
- A first session beginning at 10 a.m., dal taglio istituzionale, featuring a speech by BI-REX General Director, Stefano Cattorini. Closing the morning will be a speech by Stefano Bonaccini, President of the Emilia-Romagna Region, and Manlio di Stefano, Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs;
- Two afternoon panel discussions, one on the topic of Data Centers featuring the participation of our president, Domenico Bambi, and moderation by Paolo Bellavista, representative and professor at the University of Bologna.

INAUGURATION EVENT AND TRAINING ROUNDTABLE
On June 9, inside the Mecspe Live Academy, an opening event is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. in which:
- Data will be presented from the MECSPE Observatory I quad. 2022, which represent a snapshot of the health, confidence level and evolution in training, digitalization and sustainability of Italian manufacturing companies. Stefano Cattorini will make a speech commenting on the data;
- A panel discussion involving all Competence Centers will take place at the end of the first session. Main focus on Training 4.0: for BI-REX there will be Massimo Pulvirenti, Training Services Manager.
