Big Data 4 Manufacturing

The project aims to overcome the limitations of the main analytics solutions available on the market and to realise a Big Data platform of general applicability in the Industry 4.0 environment, which allows the analysis of data from different types of machines at different levels of abstraction (single machine, production line, and multi-line or multi- plant) and the contextual storage of the collected data in order to optimise the use of storage resources. The platform will support highly heterogeneous data types from different machines and applications such as PLM, CRM, ERP, etc.

On the implementation side, the Big Data platform will integrate commercially available IoT and Big Data analytics solutions for processing data collected from production facilities..

  • Provision of services, Pilot Line and Infrastructures
    The project will make use of the services offered by the BI-REX consortium, in particular with regard to the use of the Pilot Line and of any Cloud and/or Edge Computing platforms alongside it. The use of the Pilot Line will be particularly useful to test the proposed Big Data solutions and to accumulate skills that will then be spendable/transportable within the specific use cases involving the project partner companies.
