On Wednesday 14 June, a webinar was held on digital transformation with a special focus on immersive (XR) technologies.

The webinar aimed to illustrate how digital transformation is a process not only of technological change but also of cultural and organisational change, with a focus on immersive technologies that have numerous possibilities of application within business processes as they allow one to simulate a physical environment or world by exploiting digital media and interactive interfaces. The advantages of these technologies were illustrated through use cases.

The technological innovations of Industry 4.0 can only be successfully introduced if they are accepted by people as they impact on habits and behaviour, which is why adopting a 4.0 change management model is crucial. The key factors of a change management model to be integrated in a 4.0 transition process were illustrated.
