PROJECT PRESENTATION EVENT “AMMT: ADDITIVE MULTIMATERIAL MORPHOLOGICAL TRANSFORMATION”
15 December 2022 /10:00 - 13:00
A new event to present the projects implemented under the first call issued by BI-REX: on December 15, at our headquarters, we presented the project AMMT (Additive Multimaterial Morphological Transformation), carried out in partnership with Poggipolini SpA, Juno Design Srl, Bonfiglioli SpA, Altair Engineering Srl, Guidetti Technology Srl.
PRESENTAZIONE
The issues of performance improvement, competitive innovation, and the growing drive for electrification are directing several industries to the adoption of new, more efficient and enabling manufacturing technologies (KETs). Among these, Metal Additive Manufacturing has brought new opportunities but also many challenges and difficulties, highlighting on the one hand its current application limitations, and on the other hand cultural barriers related to proper dissemination and training that is still lacking.
In this context, AMMT set out to bring a contribution to the manufacturing ecosystem by going on to define the reference know-how for technological, design and economic methodologies to successfully approach the introduction of Additive Manufacturing in companies’ assets and practices. The know-how was developed by following practical cases, beginning with proper case selection, moving through design and analytical development, and concluding with prototype fabrication and bench testing..
AGENDA AND EVENT PARTICIPATION
In order to present the project and show the results obtained, we organized a dedicated event on Thursday, December 15 at our Competence Center headquarters, based on the following program:
- BI-REX presentation (by Domenico Bambi);
- Institutional greetings (by Gabriele Marzano);
- Visit to the BI-REX Pilot Line (by Francesco Meoni);
- Introductory overview of the project with a popularizing slant on AM processes and open challenges to introduce them into industrial practice (by Paolo Marconato);
- Focus on respective contributions to the project: Bonfiglioli Use Cases (edited by Paolo Cominetti);
- Focus on respective contributions to the project: Use Cases Poggipolini / Ducati (edited by Simone Di Piazza);
- Overview of the technical development of the project with a technical/academic slant (edited by Massimiliano De Agostinis);
