OPEN POSITION
BI-REX is looking for a candidate to undertake a curricular internship, in collaboration with the University of Palermo, in the field of research and development in robotics, with a particular focus on the study and application of advanced control methods.
The successful candidate will be part of the technical team and will be involved in innovative activities related to robotics and automation, working on applied research and development projects. The trainee will be supported by company tutors and will contribute to the development of solutions in the field of Industry 4.0 technologies.
SOME OF THE ACTIVITIES INVOLVED
- Analysis of the state of the art in control methodologies for robotic systems;
- Study and experimentation of language models applied to robotics;
- Testing and validation of solutions in simulated and/or experimental environments;
- Support for the design and integration of robotic components;
- Use of 3D printers for prototyping activities;
- Collaboration in the development of innovative solutions for automated systems.
TRAINING OBJECTIVES
The internship has the objective of developing theoretical and practical skills in the field of robotics and Industry 4.0, through direct involvement in research and development activities.
In particular, the trainee will be able to acquire skills relating to:
- Principles and technologies of industrial robotics;
- Control and automation methodologies for robotic systems;
- Development and integration of software solutions for industrial applications;
- Use of tools and digital technologies for Industry 4.0;
- Design and integration of robotic components.
INTERNSHIP DETAILS
- Duration: 300–600 hours

OPEN POSITION
BI-REX is looking for a trainee to support the management, organisation and operational coordination activities of the Palermo office, in collaboration with the University of Palermo.
The trainee will be involved in technology transfer initiatives, innovation projects, events and training programmes, collaborating with businesses, universities, research institutions and local stakeholders. The trainee will be supported by the BI-REX team and will actively participate in the operational and project activities of the Competence Center.
SOME OF THE ACTIVITIES INVOLVED
- Supporting the organisation of events, workshops and meetings with companies and stakeholders;
- Preparing reports, project proposals, summary materials and presentations;
- Managing and updating databases, contacts and shared tools;
- Monitoring project and territorial activities;
- Collecting and systematising information on calls for tenders and project opportunities;
- Supporting follow-up activities and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
TRAINING OBJECTIVES
The internship has the objective of developing practical skills in project management, organisational support and technology transfer, within an innovative context oriented towards Industry 4.0.
In particular, the trainee will be able to acquire the following skills:
- Support for the management and coordination of projects;
- organisation of activities and events in complex contexts;
- relationship with companies, universities and territorial entities;
- analysis, synthesis and management of documentation;
- use of digital and collaborative tools for teamwork.

- Duration: 150–200 hours (flexible)
