Smart City Services for Circular Economy and Sustainable Applications

The project aims at fostering the estabilishment of a Smart Sustainable Community (SSC) to aggregate the offer of sustainable products and services in line with the SGD, in a collaborative and democratic approach, creating the conditions to realise an open, disintermediated and distributed community, based on the use of blockchain and big data management.

  • Provision of services, Pilot Line and infrastructure
    The project intends to use BI-REX services for its implementation, testing and fine-tuning. These activities will be carried out throught the determination by BI-REX of a technology provider with proven expertise in the field and in terms of blockchain integrator. The services requested from BI-REX refer to: General Contractor, Datacenter, Cloud Services. In order to test some processing and experimentation on the developed solutions (e.g. community metric evaluations) the use the micro-datacenter infrastructure of BI-REX is planned, before proceeding to the testing and validation phase.
  • Sharing, use, dissemination of produced material and know-how
    One year after the conclusion of the experimentation and validation phase foreseen by the project, some relevant statistical data, obtained from the experimentation, will be shared with BI-REX in order to demonstrate the impact the project has had with respect to the influence on users’ behaviour towards the foreseen sustainability criteria. BI-REX will be able to use this data to make dissemination presentations on the project results or related training activities.
