The objectives of this project proposal are to develop the skills and subsequent methodologies necessary for the proper and full use of additive manufacturing technologies for metal components. Specifically, the project aims to integrate <strong>Additive Manufacturing (AM) processes, particularly powder bed and direct deposition<\/strong>, among the technologies already used in the mechanical industry. The project will be developed following <strong>3 main objectives<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>acquisition of the ability to make components with the desired characteristics;<\/li>\n<li>thorough knowledge of potential and limitations of both technologies and ability to integrate them;<\/li>\n<li>tntroducing the concept of design\/re-design of AM components through the development of a component chosen as a case-study.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-panel panel-default panel-ace5e612b5260ea33 fusion-toggle-no-divider fusion-toggle-boxed-mode\" style=\"--awb-title-color:var(--awb-color8);\"><div class=\"panel-heading\"><h3 class=\"panel-title toggle\" id=\"toggle_ace5e612b5260ea33\"><a aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"ace5e612b5260ea33\" role=\"button\" data-toggle=\"collapse\" data-target=\"#ace5e612b5260ea33\" href=\"#ace5e612b5260ea33\"><span class=\"fusion-toggle-icon-wrapper\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><i class=\"fa-fusion-box active-icon fa-angle-down fas\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><i class=\"fa-fusion-box inactive-icon fa-angle-right fas\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/span><span class=\"fusion-toggle-heading\">Role played by BI-REX<\/span><\/a><\/h3><\/div><div id=\"ace5e612b5260ea33\" class=\"panel-collapse collapse \" aria-labelledby=\"toggle_ace5e612b5260ea33\"><div class=\"panel-body toggle-content fusion-clearfix\">\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Provision of services, Pilot Line and infrastructure<\/strong><br \/>\nThe project will make use of BI-REX technologies and services, particularly with regard to the Pilot Line: BI-REX will provide equipment and expertise (MYSYNT300 SLM Machine, 5-axis machine tool for finishing mechanical components, 3-D scanning workstation, etc.) for the implementation of the various activities. Coordination activities will be carried out through the project management service.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sharing, use, dissemination of produced material and know-how<\/strong><br \/>\nAt the conclusion of the project, all the contents\/materials produced will be used by BI-REX with a view to dissemination and diffusion of know-how. This aspect will concern both training activities and the provision of support and technology transfer services towards companies: BI-REX, thanks to the results obtained, will be able to propose itself as a Partner of companies interested in examining the opportunities offered by the AM in the design of new products.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-panel panel-default
