A double event for the presentation of the projects “PROMPT (Platform for Maintenance Optimization)” and “KINEMA (Knowledge Integration in Neural networks for e-Maintenance)”, both developed as part of the BI-REX calls within the ICT thematic area for machines and production lines.

Event: Safe&CyberSafe Industries

BI-REX, FTP and Siemens have developed a complete “turnkey” service for companies that want to secure their industrial systems and redesign the infrastructures to make the networks reliable and efficient, avoiding production stops.

Project presentation: DEEPMON

DEEPMON facilitates the integration of data flows inside the factory, providing support for data collection and their representation through a common data model for manufacturers of automatic machines.

Event: Industry 4.0 Observatory

For a second edition, the event presenting the results of the Industry 4.0 Observatory is back, an initiative created by BI-REX in collaboration with Intesa Sanpaolo. During the appointment, we presented the results of the research implemented by the Studies and Research Department of ISP, focused on the digital transformation processes of companies in Emilia-Romagna and Marche.

There was also be a moment of discussion with the participating companies, to learn about BI-REX and ISP activities in support of technology transfer.

Project presentation: SS4SP

The project aims to study, design and implement innovative procedural and technological solutions to improve IT security, operational continuity and safety of Industry 4.0 systems.

Project presentation: Cold Chain

Presentation of the Cold Chain project carried out as part of the calls issued by our Competence Center. The project was born with the aim of creating a platform capable of digitizing all movements of pharmaceutical products that need to be managed and maintained within a certain temperature range.

Objective: Zero Impact. For a digitization at sustainability’s service

BI-REX, SAP and Atos, in collaboration with Confindustria Emilia Area Centro, organized an event at our headquarters with thespecific focus on digitization and sustainability. Ample space for the projects implemented by BI-REX, for the initiatives carried out by Confindustria Emilia Area Centro,
the technological solutions offered by SAP and the services provided by Atos on this issue.

Phygital Event: “Presentation of the 5G Connect project”

The event presented the results of “5G Connect”, a technological innovation project implemented as part of the first call issued by BI-REX. The project focuses on the study and implementation of innovative solutions for integrating data connectivity in industrial production plants, focusing on the use of 5G technology.

LaserEMobility Workshop

The workshop took place on the 10th and 11th of March at the BI-REX headquarters. In these two days of events, component manufacturers, system integrators and end users from the world of electric mobility met to present the new solutions and future needs of the sector.
The round table brought together key players and academia to anticipate upcoming challenges and key issues in the sector.

Project presentation: BD4M

During the event, we presented the results of “Big Data 4 Manufacturing: an IT platform to extract value from Industry 4.0 Big Data”, a technological innovation project implemented as part of the first call issued by BI-REX. BD4M is a Big Data platform of general applicability in the Industry 4.0 environment which allows the storage, analysis and display of data from automatic machines and production lines.

Project presentation: IPPODAMO

Together with Rekeep, TIM and Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna, we presented and illustrated the results of the Ippodamo project, which is configured as one of the technological innovation projects carried out as part of the first call issued by BI-REX (Big Data thematic area for Sustainability).
A great opportunity to find out in a concrete way how we support technological innovation for the benefit of the productive, economic and social fabric of our country.

Phygital Event: “How 5G can accelerate the digitalization of companies”

A new important BI-REX event in collaboration with TIM has arrived. Focus of this appointment: the opening of the 5G cell at BI-REX Pilot Line. This is a unique opportunity to understand how 5G can revolutionize the digitalization of companies, learn about the new prospects for innovation and see closely how our Competence Center can support these processes for the benefit of the country system.

BI-REX Training Services Presentation Event

Our training activities continue, aimed at all players interested in acquiring or increasing their skills in the field of Industry 4.0 and starting digital transformation paths.
Within an ad hoc event, we presented the BI-REX logistic and technological infrastructures and the first starting courses, with the involvement of all the project leaders (university professors, academics and the world of research, business managers).

Our Pilot Plant available for companies

The Pilot Plant is an advanced production line, where new Industry 4.0 technologies are integrated with traditional ones, in a digitally interconnected environment. It is structured through 4 different areas (Big Data and IoT, Additive Manufacturing, Robotics, Finishing and Metrology) and can be used by companies for their innovative projects.
